The Acadian redfish is a marine deep-water fish. Found in the northern Atlantic Ocean and colored reddish-orange.

The Acadian redfish is extremely similar in appearance to the deepwater redfish. 

Due to its slow growth rate, low fecundity, harmless nature and being considered a great food fish, the redfish has become endangered and is on Greenpeace's RED list.
